Watch my conversation with Aaron Parnas from earlier this afternoon.
We talked about several of the major challenges Americans are facing, and I also shared the story of what first motivated me to run for office and how those campaigns still shape my work today.
Fifteen years ago in Indiana, I saw a chance to stand up for the recovery of the auto industry against a political extremist who was trying to prevent its rescue - and mounted a long-shot campaign to offer a different vision for the future of the industrial Midwest. We didn’t win, but I learned priceless lessons about how to build bridges through politics, and about the stakes of our political struggles.
Hope you enjoy watching - and leave a comment below to join the conversation.
